More brains! Zombie part two

So I have this ready from my Zombie time post. Please note that all blood and teeth are fake. The blood is acryllic paint, and the "teeth" are made from fake nails, please see previous post about how this appliance was made.

Next step will be to make the rest of the face. First put on contact lenses, I think it makes a zombie makeup so much better.

Then the process is much the same as last time, put latex and paper over your face.

Blend with a sallow facepaint. The rough texture enhances dead zombie skin.

And peel back your skin.

Now you put the other mask in this hole and glue down with spirit gum. Seal the edges with more latex. Paint the inside of the skin edges/flaps red with brown edges, add some blood and dark circles under the eyes. Since I was going to the movies I did not use too much blood as to not make as mess on their interior, but next time the teeth and skin will be dripping.
All blood and gore effects are makeup

And next time I will use this in an Alice in Zombieland style :)

  1. This is AWESOME! Does the fake mouth move with your own, like while talking??

    1. Yes it does, it creeps people out. It only opens and closes, so it is hard to smile though

    1. I'm going to hold a Zombie makeup panel at Metrocon in Norway, so I'm working on some new ideas to present there, hich I will of course post here also. And Halloween is lurking ahead, so I need to make something goory for that too. Maybe not Zombie, more Monster I think. But oh, this is so fun :)

  3. Hey I really love this makeup its amazing! I'd love to try it for a Halloween party I'm going to. Is it easy to talk, drink, eat etc. Or is it restrictive?

    1. It is more flexible when it is “fresh”, meaning if you make all of it the day you are going to wear it. Then it is easier to talk, and you don’t need glue as the latex fixes it really well. I glued on mine later also, and then it was a bit stiffer and did not sit as well on my face, so make sure it is glued on good then.
You can drink through a straw and eat “dry food” (chewing was not a problem for me). Be sure to glue the teeth on really well, or you might knock some of them off when putting food in your mouth (weirdest sentence I have ever written I think). Also you should know that latex doesn’t smell so good, so be sure that you can handle having this stuff close to you nose the entire evening :)

But still, you have a mask on, så it is a little restictive :)

  4. How much liquid latex did it take to create the whole look? Going to do this for my friends party next week! :)

    1. You don't really need much. I think I used about 30 ml. (even less actually) Bring a little extra anyways. I bought a 100 ml bottle and I think I have made 5 or 6 different Zombies with it :)

  6. Thank you so much for this great idea! I did this for a party this weekend and won first place. I made up my mask 5-6 days ahead of time and found it had dried up a bit and was harder to move. I didn't eat all night even though there was a huge table of food out that all looked great, I just made sure to eat a huge dinner. I lasted 7 hours in it, having to glue the bottom lip back on many time because it came undone after smiling so much, even though no one could see! I just loved the fact that i could creep everyone out, so fun pulling on the upper skin to see people squirm.
Thanks again for the inspiration and easy to follow how to's. Halloween just got a lot better!
