Vi Cosplay revisited

Närcon was a blast and I got to enter NCC (Nordic Cosplay Championship) as a representative for Norway. I can get used to that VIP feeling, with back stage passes and free food.

With only two month from the nomination to the NCC contest I didn't have time for a brand new elaborate costume, so I made my Vi even more awesome.

And I have gathered shortcuts to all my Vi tutorials here
Now let's start some new costume adventures!

  6. Is there a tutorial for her basic costume? the things she wears under her armor? :D
I'm dying to do that cosplay but it would be my third cosplay and the most complicated so far ^^'
IOther question: how long did it took you to finish the costume?

    SvarSlett

    1. Hi, I don't have tutorial for the jackets or hotpants, but you can find photos of the in progress on my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Chrixdesignandprops

For the corset use one of my other tutorials: http://chrixdesign.blogspot.no/2013/12/big-sister-corset-and-hot-pants.html

As for how long it took: I first used four months on the first iteration, then I used two more months on upgrading it. So yes, a complicated cosplay, but keep i n mind that I had no guides, so you might be able to do it faster :)

      Slett
    2. okay, thank you :)

I have a little less than 4 months to finish it, but I have (fortunately) a lot of free time lately, so I'm nearly finished wiith her hands.

thanks for the guide it is really helpful! And keep up the great work!

    1. Hi. Love that you are going to cosplay again. To get ideas for how to change Vi to match a male appearance, you should search for "Vi genderbend". There's a lot of great fan art for male Vi online. Also check out what "Fakenerdeboy" has done, his male Vi is really good :) Good luck

  16. how did you make the jacket? i want to do a vi cosplay and the jacket is something im really concerned about making

    1. I made a pattern and sewed it. But if you are new to sewing you should buy a commercial pattern and just modify it. Good luck
